Youth Ministry at a Glance
Sunday School
9:45am-10:45am | Youth House
This is a time for us to gather, sing together and to study the Scriptures. We meet every Sunday morning in the Youth House at 9:45a.m.
D-Groups
Jr. High | 5:00pm-7:00pm | Youth House
Sr. High | 7:00pm-9:00pm | Youth House
D-Groups (discipleship groups) are small groups, divided by grade and gender, and led by at least two staff and volunteer ministry leaders. These groups gather for fellowship, accountability, encouragement, Bible study, and prayer on Wednesday nights during the school year at the Youth House.
Relational Discipleship
Our youth ministry seeks to love students faithfully by inundating their lives with caring believers and by facilitating their connection to the church. Sometimes, this involves intentional discipleship relationships and Bible studies. Other times, this involves hosting fellowship events for our whole group or some sub-section of it. Often, this means simply having fun together. Overall, we desire to reach our youth through relationships so that they might in turn reach out relationally to the people God has providentially placed in their lives.
Retreats & Conferences
We host and participate in several retreats and conferences each year that create space for students to study God’s Word, to grow deeper with one another, to serve others, and to create memories in the midst of busy schedules. Some of our retreats are for Jr. High or Sr. High specifically, while others allow the whole youth group to connect together.
Roots & Reach
Roots & Reach is a spiritual mentoring program that helps students grow in the four key relationships in life (with God, self, others, and Creation) with the help of a trusted mentor. It involves fourteen lessons that can be done individually, with one’s mentor, or in a small group as well as periodic, brief check-in meetings or phone calls with one’s mentor. It’s designed to fit easily into a busy schedule and is geared towards student’s who want to grow spiritually — who are faithful, available, and teachable. Mentors are typically members of the youth ministry staff or youth ministry volunteers.
