Senior Pastor Search

"Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:20-21

Covenant Presbyterian Church is currently seeking our next Senior Pastor. We ask you to join us in earnest prayer for the man that God has chosen, for the work of the Pulpit Committee, and for faithfulness as Covenant waits on the Lord.

We welcome you to view the Pastoral Candidate Packet, which is a brief look at our church and at the qualities we seek in our pastor.  For further detail, please see the job description.

Pray with Us

Elder Jeff Klinger, is leading and organizing the church body in prayer for the pulpit committee, for the future pastor, and for our church. Please join us in prayer in the following ways:

Day of Prayer

Sign Up to be part of our third "Day of Prayer" - December 3, 2022 . We will be praying on December 3, from 6am-6pm. Please choose a 30 minute time slot (or multiple!) to pray for our Pulpit Committee and the search process for our next senior pastor.

Pray for Our Next Pastor

Please pray for our next pastor. Pray for him to have a clear sense of God's call. Pray for God to increase his love and passion for the Word. Pray for God to be preparing him to lead and shepherd our flock, and for his family as they will be moving into a time of transition.

Pray for Members of the Committee

Please pray for our church's Pulpit Committee: Ellie Allen, Amanda Balaban, John Bauer, Joyce Dana, John Dawson, Will Haynes, Garrett Jacobs Committee Chair, Dean Kappel, Jeff Massot, Mary Beth McGreevy, and Sheila Norman. Pray for wisdom, unity, patience and diligence for each individual of the committee.

Pray for our Church

Please pray for our church. Pray for patience and perseverance as we await the next senior pastor, for the Lord to prepare our hearts for the next pastor, and for our church to continue to place a high priority on the Word of God, the glory of Christ, and a love for His church.

We are governed in the creation of this Pulpit committee both by our denomination’s Book of Church Order, and by Covenant’s own bylaws that have been developed over the years of Pastoral Searches:
